simply beautiful stuff. Would you consider doing a cabinet for say a pre amp. I have a few vintage pieces which dont have cabs.

Absolutely! Why don't you pm me with some info about what you're looking for and I'll let you know for sure.

Here's a new set of face plates I just finished for a pair of Golden Tube SE-40 mono blocks. They were made from two-tone cocobolo, sanded to 12,000 and hand rubbed with carnauba.

it's not too easy to see them, but at least it's a cool system to see:

SYG, at the risk of changing the subject, what is that you have hanging on your ceiling? Whatever it is, I like it!  :D I'm a firm believer is ceiling treatment for between the loudspeakers.  :thumb:

I have corner busters on my ceiling, but that's not my ceiling. That ceiling belongs to Brent Rainwater and I believe you're talking about his projector screen as I think that's his home theater set-up. If you want to see a really impressive set-up, you should check out his 2 channel rig.

Hey all you A/C-ers! We're back from Vegas and ready to roll...

I did get a chance to return all email this morning. I do want to let anyone with time constraints know that as I am becoming increasingly more busy, my lead times are getting a bit longer. So please keep that in mind when you're planning your projects... I'm just one guy with a small shop, no C-n-C machine, no elves! Thanks!

There's a few new things at the site, including, but not limited to new music!

I just wanted to let anyone who has been submitting inquiries know that the Thingamaknob site has been having some E-Mail issues this past week. Hopefully this will be resolved within the next 24 hours. I've been trying to return E-Mail via my junk mail account, but I'm unsure if I've received all of my mail yet... so I apologize if it appears that I've ignored anyone as this is not the case. Everyone who wants Thingamaknobs, will eventually get Thingamaknobs.

Thanks,
Scott

I just finished these for JRebman. I really like the burl, so I thought I'd share.

I just finished these quilted maple Thingamaknobs with ebony inlays. They came out nice, showing a little spalting on the sides.

Those do look sharp and should match nicely with many different face plates.  :thumb:

Maple burl Thingamaknob on my new APL Hi-Fi Bada DC222. This is the first time in a year that I needed a Thingamaknob for myself.

ah this won my heart, truly God IS in the details

appreciate this and see a truly example of what has been described in Pirsig's  "Zen and the Art of motorcycle maintenance"

I see information on the net that you have/had a surgery if that is true i wish you WELL :hyper: :hyper:

So I'm back and working away. Here's an APL Hi-Fi UA-S1 finished in spalted maple with a blood wood knob and maple inlay.

Looking through older topics, I found this thread. Thought I'd put the new site up for all who may not have seen it yet...

Great Christmas suggestions for those who don't want to fork out $1000's for new gear...
