Ref 8 has 100W power supply. Ref 8 tops out at 100W at 8 and 4 ohm due to limitation of SMPS.
Ref 8.5V2 has 200W power supply.  The spec is on the website. 200W at 4 ohm and 160W at 8 ohm

For those people who want to keep their Ref 8, we have a plan to provide V2 and power supply upgrade. Obviously Ref 8 has limited upgrade path because of the size of the chassis.

No decision yet but it will be reasonable.
We are offering $500 ($550 for Ref 8b) credit for Ref 8 owners to trade-in to Ref 8.5V2 so your purcahse price is $1250-550 = $700.
Therefore the V2 upgrade for Ref 8/8b will have to be lower than the trade-in offer.

Ref 8.5 (100W, V1) -> Ref 8.5V2 (200W, V2) upgrade cost $400 / unit so Ref 8/8b upgrade will likely cost the same. Well, here you go, I just worked out the price :thumb:

We are very scientific and structured so everything just fit into place. 8)
