Looking for best version "Something Else" CD/Xrcd/SACD
Great remasters or certain Blue Note CD vintage.

I really think that Cannonball Adderly and Company were at their finest in the recording 8)

Mark,
To me, hands down, it is the 24/192 HDAD (high rez DVD-Audio disc; with 24/96 pcm on flip side, playable on any DVD-video player capable of 24/96).

Mark,
You don't have a decent DVD player?  That's specifically why I mentioned that the HDAD has a simple pcm version on side 2, with tremendous 24/96 sonics (only a detailed a/b would likely point out the superior sonics of the 24/192 side).  I still think the 24/96 pcm is better than the redbook or xrcd options .

Edit:: Didn't see Tvad4's same retort.......thinking like genuises  :D

I have two DVD players but my system is two channel. I'm looking for a good version that is compatible on my CDP SACD/CDR/Redbook format.

Ah, I see.  Well, although the HDAD is also only two channel, you'd have to integrate the DVD player into the system.  I don't know of the quality of the other options.  It may be worth trying one of your DVD players; I'd send the disc down with Jennifer or mail it to you for a demo if needed.  It's REALLY good.
