I really like this street shot. I feel like I'm there without being overwhelmed by technical details.

A couple from my Canon AT-1 on my last outing:
And the super lofi from that same outing...a pinhole self-portrait. Exposure time was about 95 seconds, which includes me walking from and to the camera to open and close the shutter. (I need to fix a shadow on this camera)
BTW: The new image linking function is kind of annoying - no quick paste and click to link up.

Power-users such as yourself should have no trouble just typing the tags.
Interesting pinhole photo, though.

Sorry for disparaging the forum improvement efforts. I know that photo linking was tricky for many users and I expect the new system will help a number of them. It's just a more drastic change than I expected, and a different function than the other forums I use.
Would it be possible for the button to add the tags if it is clicked when a URL is highlighted and bring up the menu system if no text is highlighted?

No worries. I'm not sure if that's possible but putting the focus into the entry field should be.

This was shot in RAW on my D90 - 18mm focal length
The RAW file size is 9MB!!!
The sun on the Yucatan peninsula is much much 'hotter' than in Charlotte. I stayed out of the sun about 98% of the time at the pool. Still got a nice pink color.

I'm "there" dude.
Having had the feeling you're describing in the past, and finding shade like this tree is like an orgasm. Seeing the sun through the leaves, imagining myself sitting with my feet in the sand, a cold drink in my hand, no worries in life..........
Yea........That picture does something for me. Very nice. aa

That looks similar to the pictures I took. Hint: the only way to get there is via that little ship in the back ground.
Let's crop that a little.

I've been using grad ND filters lately and they help a lot with a bright sky, makes the pic look more real as you see it. Do any of you use filters.

I'll probably try a ND grad filter once I decide on a new rig. On my film setup, I recently started shooting with a yellow filter for B&W (darkens blue and increases contrast between clouds and sky).

Here are some pictures from my holiday with a friend (also called Ben, an old Uni friend and a true friend) on the Isle of Skye...
I'm sure we all know but a camera does not capture the beauty, the wonderfull silence that exists in these places and the fresh cleanliness of swimming in lochs on the side of mountians, really a wonderfull time away from people and society and all man made things.
One more for luck..
I hope you enjoy.
