They shut their yappers too! Man, can you imagine if human babies grew up that fast and were "out of the nest" so soon? I might even consider having kids.  Well, as long as they didn't poop on my windshield or run into the windows.

Hey!

Wow! :o They sure grow fast! Good to know that they are all doing well and survived the wicked temp and weather we've had so far around here. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Well...my baby birds officially left the nest this morning.      I got to see two of them actually take their first flights out of the nest...

We watch the baby birds first flights every year around this time. It's pretty cool to see them take off, bump into something and fall, only to get back up again and keep trying. All with the momma and pappa birds chirping along and keeping watch.

A nice treat for your kids too.

Don't they usually prescribe penicillin for something like that?

A grimy ceramic owl...

Hm... Full auto, haven't adjusted a thing - Canon 40D/17-85 usm shot.

My pic of the day! (Picture is scaled down to 1/5 resolution!!! )

Edit: New attempt at the green Ceramic owl:

Slightly differing angle to this shot.
Just testing my 40D, so yeah.. its a srgb map for this image I believe.

This was kind of cool. I took this, this afternoon. It was about 100 degrees and dry out. Not something you see every day...

If you look closely, you can see the Virgin Mary kneeling down, praying over baby Jesus in a crib.

Hey Scott,
In reference to your photo; What is that "phenomenon" called where the shingles on the house are wavy? It may be my monitor, but I've seen it in the screen of my DSLR as well. Kind of annoying.  :?
Anyway to get rid of that?
I'm sure Nathan will chime in saying it's a digital artifact and a "real" camera won't do that.

It is a well know phenomena caused by global warming rays beaming through that colorful rainbow effect which is actually radiation then it bounces  off the roof and then hitting you in the iris... clearly using film does not contribute to this effect....

I think it is ice crystals high up, creating sort of like rainbow... effects.
Actually it might be the ice bridge from middle earth over to valhalla just visible...
