Okay guys... here's something that's no real "biggie," but it's lots of fun for me. I just got a photo published in the New York Times Online Edition, which may actually go to print.Back story: The article is a feature interview with the comedian, Hannibal Buress. Maybe some of you are familiar with him... he's rather up & coming and is getting a lot of publicity lately especially for his outspoken challenges to Bill Cosby. We'll it turns out that Hannibal got his start with performing while he was in college at SIU in my restaurant and coffeehouse. He held an open mic in the backroom and began writing and trying his material here in Southern Illinois. Yesterday the NY Times called and wanted photos and some info on our place. Here's the link to the actual article, and below find a copy both of the NY Times Photo and the Original. PS. This is not an endorsement of Hannibal. You may or may not like his material. Much of it is very clever... per usual, some is not my cup of tea.http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/tmagazine/2015/02/05/hannibal-buress-favorite-comedians-inspiration-interview/?ref=t-magazine&referrer= You must click on the first photo to get the slide show.Hannibal Buress Favorite CoffeehouseThe Bar of the Longbranch Cafe
