Is it possible to find vinyl in West County?
« on: 9 Jun 2007, 02:44 pm »
Hey, My name is Matt, and I am pretty new here.

I found you guys via Head-Fi, and recently made the jump to vinyl (from CD).

I've gotten a bunch of good stuff on ebay, but I really would love to have a place within a 20 minute drive of my house that sells vinyl.  The only place i've found so far is Hot Topic. . .and 90% of the stuff they carry I am not interested in.

I just turned twenty today, and I listen to mostly rock (Mars Volta, Cursive, Death Cab for Cutie and things like that).

Figured if anyone knew where to find vinyl in West County it would be you guys, for reference, I live about a half of a mile from Lafayette High School, and about a mile from Babler Elementry.

Thanks guys!

Matt K.

Hey Matt,

Welcome aboard  :thumb:

Oouuu, vinyl in West County. I'm afraid you aren't going to find any or maybe I should say you won't find any that has any of the 'newer' artists. There are two places that carry 'new' artists in stock. The best for new rock/trance/techo/etc is Vintage Vinyl on the Loop. The second would be Euclid Records down in old Webster.

If you are looking for generic R&R, the CD Reunion in Village Square shopping center has a modest selection. After them, you've got a huge selection of 'old' R&R, Jazz, Classical and Country at the Record Exchange on Hampton in South City.

So, are you going to make it out for the Head-Fi meet at my place in a couple of weeks? I live about 10 miles due west of you just off Hwy 100 (Manchester). Oh, be sure to bring some vinyl, I'll have a pair of turntables spinning in two different rooms.  :green:
