POLL: Name for new photography circle

The old "Shutterbug" circle will remain archived and a new one put in its place. Please vote on your favorite name, or offer your own. So far I'm a fan of "Light Club" since it has three references; the movie, the circle based on the movie, photography itself. (you know, with light and all.) Well anyway, it's just a name so don't take it too seriously. Thanks folks!

I like "Eye Fidelity" or, "Photo Circle". Both are definitively fitting and, reasonably contiguous to the forum.

Why's that so surprising? I used to moderate the Sports Bar you know, which brought me international fame and fortune until I hit rock bottom, nearly dying on a hotel bathroom floor.

A suit? That's okay, I had to get a suit for a wedding last year so now I can get some more use out of it.

Are there any medical benefits with this job?

Thanks for volunteering, Nathan!

I would tend to recommend a name that more self-evident than not, thus indicating the focus of the circle to new members and casual observers.

Of course, I rather like the old "Shutterbug" name myself...

Regardless of the circle name ultimately selected, is there any reason not to resurrect the old threads from the archive?

In that spirit, how about naming it Vignetting Circle. We can't get rid of it -- why not embrace it?

I voted for "The Imaginarium" but I also like "Eye Fidelity".

I remember you as Moderator, Nathan....but I thought JohnR cooked up a special 'Syntax and Spelling' Moderator hat for you back then...not Sports Bar

No medical benefits - indentured servants (ie, Moderators) to AudioCircle get only gentle accolades...and occasional rocks hurled at them

Good to have a place for shutterbugs to congregate again - hope to learn something myself from reading it over time.

Don't forget that "shutterbug" is (was?) also the name of a magazine. Can't have that now can we?

I'm surprised "Eye-Fidelity" is so popular, I thought it was a bit too cheeky when I thought of it.

You've cast your votes and "Eye-Fidelity" is the clear winner. To the other 9,333 members who did not vote: I'm afraid that a small, vocal (keyboardy?) minority has decided for you. So if one chooses to read said circle that will be the title. Now John just has to create the thing; but hey cut him some slack, he was nearly cut down in his prime by an angry Ent!
