i bought mine from this company in montreal:www.master-vox.comthe price was $99 canadian, and in US dollars they were $70 + $20 for shipping and i got them three days after i placed the order. i think these things are perfect for a second system, and i know i'd've been thrilled to have them when i was a teenager (meaning, your daughter will love them). if you picked up a used integrated amp for maybe $100, and a decent cd player it'd be a killer little system for minimum bucks.just send me a p ...
Hi, How do these compare to Swan Diva 2.1? Was thinking of buying a pair for my office. Thanks, Daman
unfortunately, i've never heard the 2.1's. from what i've read in reviews, the character/voicing of the two speakers is probably pretty similar. i do prefer Athena AS-B2's to the omages, but i'm a big fan of detail. anyone who thinks speakers like the Athena's are bright will probably love the omages. one thing i have said is that i previously owned a set of energy encores, and the energy's aren't in the same ballpark as the omages.now that i've finally got an extra amp, the av21's are headed to my offi ...
I own the Ref 1s and have compared the Diva 2.1s to the Refs. The Divas are very warm sounding speakers. For the money, they are very good assuming you like their sound. I think they'd be great for an office system although I'd probably choose to go with the Rocket RS150s. The RS150s produce sound more to my liking.I'd recommend visiting audioenvy.com to see if there's anyone in your area who might allow you to audition the Divas and Rockets. After you've heard them, you can decide which ones you like better.
Thanks Mad Dog I already own Rockets, I bought the 550 package a while back. The thing is I like to try different speakers. I too like the Rocket sound but enjoy listening to all different brands. Some speakers I like for different music. Since you have heard the Rocket 150 and Diva 2.1 is the Diva warmer? Later, Daman
