i just posted my review of the Omage AV21's over at audioasylum. here's a link to it:
http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/speakers/messages/133895.html

they cost me all of $70 ($90 including shipping from canada) and would be a solid deal at four times as much. my main speakers are onix ref 1's, and while these certainly don't match the ref's they're not put to shame by them either.

unfortunately there's really not a good website for them that i can find, but if you want to see some pictures send me a pm and i'll email them.

p.s. no, i have no association with omage or any vested interest here, just passing on what i think is a great, great buy.

I'm intrigued by these.  What do you think of them for a daughter's college room?  Also, where can you buy them?

Please email me pictures if you could.

i bought mine from this company in montreal:
www.master-vox.com

the price was $99 canadian, and in US dollars they were $70 + $20 for shipping and i got them three days after i placed the order.

i think these things are perfect for a second system, and i know i'd've been thrilled to have them when i was a teenager (meaning, your daughter will love them). if you picked up a used integrated amp for maybe $100, and a decent cd player it'd be a killer little system for minimum bucks.

just send me a pm with your email address and i'll mail you the pictures i have when i get home. i'll also try to put them up on the web, if i get around to it, so i can just add a link to them.

Just thought I would bump this thread up.  I did end up buying these speakers for my daughter.  I only had them in my possession for a few days but I was pretty impressed by them.  They are definately a solid deal.

They are 6 ohm speakers, if that matters/is a concern.

I haven't heard the Swans, and really don't have much to compare them to other than my own subjective standards.  They sounded very natural to me.  I would certainly buy these for an office system, unless physical looks are extremely important.  These aren't ugly, but are rather plain boxes.

unfortunately, i've never heard the 2.1's. from what i've read in reviews, the character/voicing of the two speakers is probably pretty similar. i do prefer Athena AS-B2's to the omages, but i'm a big fan of detail. anyone who thinks speakers like the Athena's are bright will probably love the omages. one thing i have said is that i previously owned a set of energy encores, and the energy's aren't in the same ballpark as the omages.

now that i've finally got an extra amp, the av21's are headed to my office. they are quite a bit smaller than the diva's and will fit on my desk whereas the 2.1's certainly would not.

Hey Gary did you ever sell your 750's? I was one who was interested in them.
I have a pair of Michaura 55's which are full of detail. They are compared to Axiom m22 but a little brighter. I want to quiet them down a bit so maybe Omages is the answer.
                       THANKS, DAMAN

I own the Ref 1s and have compared the Diva 2.1s to the Refs. The Divas are very warm sounding speakers. For the money, they are very good assuming you like their sound. I think they'd be great for an office system although I'd probably choose to go with the Rocket RS150s. The RS150s produce sound more to my liking.

I'd recommend visiting audioenvy.com to see if there's anyone in your area who might allow you to audition the Divas and Rockets. After you've heard them, you can decide which ones you like better.

Thanks Mad Dog I already own Rockets, I bought the 550 package a while back. The thing is I like to try different speakers. I too like the Rocket sound but enjoy listening to all different brands. Some speakers I like for different music. Since you have heard the Rocket 150 and Diva 2.1 is the Diva warmer?

Daman,

If you want to try a really different sounding speaker compared to your Rockets, give the Ref 1s a shot...or the Van Alstine Biro L/1s...or VMPS 626 FSTs

The Divas 2.1s really are warmer than the Rocket 150s as are the Diva 6.1s in comparison to the RS750s.

Check w/ Sa-dono as he's heard the 150s, Ref 1s, 2.1s, VMPS 626 FSTs, and Biro L/1s, too...I think he'll agree as well.
