So I was looking for HT design ideas the other day and I see that many people hide their subs inside cabinets covered with speaker cloth.
I was thinking about possibly build a cabinet at the front of my theater to hold my equipment and hide my sub (Velodyne SPL1200) under it.
Has anyone done this? What did it do to the performance of the sub? Did it make it sound muffled or boomy? Did it vibrate the other components?

So then I thought maybe I'd build angled walls around the back, sides and top of the sub inside the cabinet to replicate the horn effect you get from the corner of a room. Heck, I could even build the walls to have curves like you would see on a horn. I thought this may project the sound better and help isolate the rest of the cabinet / equipment from vibration.
Anyone have thoughts on this? Would I be crazy for going to all this trouble?

Thanks!
