Bought the damaged APEX II pair to replace my RA-8's for 2 channel duty, planning to sell my RA-8's.
Well, decided to keep the RA-8's and move them to my downstairs theater to replace the Definitive tech BP-20 and C-1 speakers (for sale by the way).
Picked up another RA-8 and had Al rotate the tweeter so I could use it for center duty.
Finally got the chance to hook them up and all I can say is WOW!
My sub decided to take a holiday, so it was just the 3 RA-8's in front (driven by 3 Odyssey Stratos Mono SE's) with definitive tech BP-1 surrounds.
Put on "We Were Soldiers" and had to duck for cover!
Clear, Dynamic, extended are a few words that come to mind to describe what I heard.
Made the right choice, even the wife agrees (which is rare!)! Love these ribbons!
Now to save up some $$$ for matching surrounds!
