Sad news indeed....an excellent pianist and composer....worked with a lot of the best. I think I'll spin "Point of Departure" tonight....R.I.P.

I was to have seen him three weeks ago, downtown, at one of the $2 lunchtime concerts at Trinity Church ... had to skip out last minute due to business obligations.

Stunning ... simply stunning.

A wonderfully creative pianist and composer and a beautiful man ... some wonderful memories.

ANYTIME you have the chance ... TAKE IT.  Do not count on having that other opportunity.

I think mine will be "Verona Rag" on Soul Note

 :roll: Without that NYtimes link, one would find no reference to the article on the main Arts page, or even the more specific music page. America does indeed eats it young.
