Hi,

Just one quick question.  Does the bypass mode turn off the crossover for the main and sub off?  I know some of them do that.

Please advice,

Thanks in advance.

No, it does not impact the subwoofer settings.

Dumb question for anyone that knows. Can the front rackmount plate on the AVP-16 be removed? I tried to take it off on mine but no luck looks like it might come off, though I seriously doubt it.

Also when using the 4 XLR connections what's the best way to connect the left and right rear channels in a 5.1ch setup?

The rack mount extension is integral to the front panel and not removable.

The rear channels are not critical, so one can use RCA connection.  Level is matched between XLR and RCA.

What are your recomendation regarding connecting Left and Right to different amplifiers simultaneously if I never use them at the same time?

My intentions is to run a strict stereo setup via XLR and a surround setup through RCA but only use one or the other?

A bad idea?

No problem with your intended setup.
