F/S:AudioTropic Moebius linestage

Hi ACer's,

Reluctantly, I have decided to sell my AudioTropic Moebius Linestage. It is a wonderful tube preamp that is small, simple and sounds terrific. It is in excellent condition: Rated 8/10, approximately two-years old.

This was a show unit that was purchased as used directly from the builder, Eric Kingsbury after it made its rounds around the USA.

Mine is similar to the unit Michael Lavorgna reviewed for 6Moons (see link below). It has two inputs, one output and an Alps Blue potentiometer. The included Sylvania tubes have many hours of use left. This pre is unbelievably quiet, with a natural tube warmth without being "tubey". I think it would be the perfect companion for a digital amp, but I only used it with tube amps so I am guessing.

I really do not want to sell this unit, but I am changing my system and no longer have need for a preamp. In fact, I am trying to raise the cash to build an Audiotropic Music Machine amplifier. The Moebius is a very special preamp and it deserves to be in the hands of someone who will appreciate its fine qualities. That is why I am listing it for sale here first.

$1,350.00 US dollars including shipping to CONUS only. Price is firm. Pics are available to interested parties.

Thanks for looking, PM me if you are interested.

Hello all,

While I did say the price is firm, I might negotiate a little for the right offer/person. It is too good of a pre and I will keep it rather than sell for a song.

That said, I would entertain some types of trades for like value. DACs, amps, and headphone set-ups are in play, but equipment must be special, so no guarantees.

Things that would peak my interest: fine tube amps, Fi (especially 421A), Yamamoto, RWA sig, Korneff, First Watt F3, latest model Monarchy 24 dac/pre, Altmann DAC, Audio Note sig dac, Kora 24/192 tube dac, USB dacs...  aa

thanks,
g

Okay, I need the money for other projects, so before I post this unit for sale on Aud-soon-to-be-gone:

For a short time only: $1,150 shipped to CONUS.

This is a terrific little tube preamp...Seriously. RWA Sig owners take note--it is the quietest tube unit I've ever had.  :thumb:

Yikes! Youse guys would love this little Preamp.

$1,050.00 includes double boxed and insured shipping to CONUS.

BTW, I am gbeard on Audiogon so you can check my feedback. And while I do not post here much, I think Vinnie R or Louis O will vouch for me.  :D

Again, my reason is simple--I no longer have a great need for it as I am only using one input, but I do need the money for an amp I trying to build.

I would trade for like value in a SS or Digtal amp like an RWA Sig 30. (Trade your Sig 30 for my pre and buy Sig 70s to go with it!)

Hey all,

$800.00 plus shipping. It's a hell of a deal on a great little linestage. I would also be very interested in a trade for a nice DAC. Monarchy NM24, Kora, Lavry, Benchmark, BelCanto II, etc.........................

I will keep it if I get no takers at this price.

Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving!
