Chuck,I live in SW Florida where there is an unfortunate lack of audio dealers. To audition gear, driving a bit is necessary, so Audiotweakers is within that driving range. I've gotten some gear from Hollywood Sound near Ft. Lauderdale and from Renaissance Sounds in Sarasota.I prefer to do my audiophile interaction on the 'net rather than over the phone.
You can do your club a service if you would pay me a visit the next time you are in my area. I can assure you that it would be well worth your time.

Quote from: chuck josephsonAlas,It appears thatyou fear me just as the rest of the evildoers in your organization do !You can do your club a serv ...Chuck,my earlier response was undertaken with all the politeness I could muster:actually, I wouldn't give you my phone # if your life depended on it. I don't fear you, I pity you---one little crumb of a post that you misconstrue as a compliment and you think you've got some audio buddy with whom you can chat on the phone. Maybe we'll have a paja ...
If you read Stereophile or Absolute Sound you read (attempts) of real audiophes and reviewers to subjectively describe how things sound .That takes talent and musical knowledge .I dont see that here. Most people who buy audio do so to impress others and not for sound.Thats what we have here .also it gives you a chance to say things you wouldnt have the nerve to say in person...
Professional reviewers should have more talent and experience than us amatures. Some here, like most of the manufacturers with forums and some without forums (Mike Dzurko for one), have more experience than most of the writers of those magazines.Certainly some buy to impress others and some buy to impress themselves..I'm guilty of both.It seemed that Tonto was tactful at first, then after he was provoked by you he made things clear. I bet he would have behaved exactly or almost exactly that way ...
My only complaint about Chuckie, is that he is not nearly as entertaining as was Peter.
Here are some of the things I have contributed to this site--Wonderful entertainment!More views on tweaking and gallery than anyone .Check the end of tweaking--$10 bass traps- wire damping--speaker baffles, resonators, speaker screws, speaker placement,AC outlet damping ,cheap ceiling diffusers, andmuch more.Did any of you try any thing? Can you dispute their value? How can you pretend to care about sound which is all that counts. All I read are jibes about how my room looks which is all you care about ,not sound.
Actually the pics of your trailer were entertaining, but your sense of humor is soooooo dry, no one can tell when your trying to be funny and when your serious.I have used acoustic panaling and I currently use 8th nerve acoustic room treatments. I have recently rewired my speakers and had to take and and reinstall the drivers, so I know the screws are tight.Last year I had two new 20 amp circuits run and had a new ground rod put in just for them, in addition I had Acme silver cryo'd outlets install ...
I am not trying to be I am funny!Lastly, You are wasting your time with allthis stuff you mentioned ,because if your wires arentdamped you lose half of what they transmit. This is a factconfirmed by the manufacturers themselves privately to me,but it isnt good business for them to tell it to theircustomers....
Correction, your should be you re.[sic],meaning you are!
