Help!!!! Need Audio Dealer Recommendations Now???
« on: 2 Apr 2007, 02:03 am »
Hello AudioCircle,

China here!!  If like I do not have problems enough. It seems as if I am actually going to be in the "audio business" as a distributor for

the North American market.  Since I have a couple of major problems, such as "no dealer or distribution system in place". I need all the

help in the world. Did I mention "I need all the help in the world". I truly do!!

Well!!  My friends!!  What I am after is "recommendations" about audio dealers?  Which ones would you take your friends too. If

they needed some help in getting started in "our" hobby. You know the ones that you trust, the ones that will take the extra bit of

time and just answer questions without the "high sales pitch" and the "attitude" that "they" know what is best for you. Or for that

matter!!  The rest of the world.  The type of "retail" store without the "retail hype". Where you are welcome just to come in and browse

around, hang out and just talk or chit chat about audio and not hear the sales pitches. The type of place that knows "what they are

talking about", "not just smoke and whatever" or "give me your money or get out of here".

The reason for this. Is that I have been living in mainland China and I have developed "personal and business relationships" over a

period of time. Now!!  More dumb luck than being an "audio savant" or "businessperson". I have become the North American distributor

for "Shuguang Audio", "A Ren Audio" and of course "Ming Yi Audio".

That is why I am asking for help!!  (Actually crying out for help while on bended knees.)

I need suggestions about business, about business's in the United States that deal in "Audio" or "Audio & Video".

The "Shuguang" products have a two year limited warranty with one year limited warranty on the tubes. "A Ren Audio" has a

twenty year limited warranty on the products and three year limited warranty on the tubes plus if ever in need of repair the shipping

is reimbursable to and from where ever back to mainland China. This means in simple English if something is wrong with the original

equipment and it is the fault of the manufacturer. Aren picks up the tab for repairs and shipping. Ming Yi's products have three years,

and since everyone has more money than I do. You pay the shipping and it gets repaired for free within the warranty period and if I

am having a good day, after, also. What defies a "good day", you ask??  "Every day that your above ground" sort of qualifies.

Plus I have Mr. Wong on the sidelines with his "battery powered pre-amplifier" and his "amplifier". A two unit affair that weighs in

around eighty some kilos. When I was playing around and lifted the "controll section" I asked how much "the amplifier" weighed?

Not knowing that the "device" came in two parts. I was told around eighty kilos. I said, "this doesn't weigh eighty kilos maybe

fifteen or there abouts."  But then the reply came back!!  "Look over there!!" That is the controll section and the power supply is

separate.

Well!! Believe me!! It weighs in at eighty plus kilos. My back is still sore from trying to pick the power supply up!!

So!!!  If anyone has any recommendations about audio and video dealers and or distributors that they have confidence in and might be interested in representing "Shuguang", "A Ren Audio", "Ming Yi Audio" and "Mr. Wongs Audio". Please please let me know?? admin@mingyiaudio.com or 86-0731-220-2962 if they are really serious!!!

As always, warmly, all the best. From China.

My biggest piece of advice...it's probably not the best way to start a business by declaring on a public message board that you have no business sense, no money, and don't understand the technical stuff...it doesn't instill much confidence in the people you may want to work with...
