This post probably does not belong here but...  I just don't get DLP.  Do we really need moving parts in a TV.  My buddy just spent $380 on his 3 year old Samsung because the whirrling sound coming from the set was drowning out the audio.

That's why I am really interested in LED based projection.

I can't do plazma in my bright windowed room so it's either lcd or proj.  I can get bigger screen for the $$ with projection and thickness is not an issue to me.

When I was looking a little while ago, Samsung was the only guy that made an LED based RPTV.  Might be others now, this was really at the end of last year.

I was thinking of the new Toshiba's, which are really thin, but will end up going LCD because of the off angle viewing advantage it has.

Finally made a purchase.
Bought a Samsung LED DLP.  HLT-6187
Looks and works great.  Finally running surround speaker wire this weekend.

Now I need HD TV.
Any suggestions?  Comcast, Dish, DirecTV???

Congrats!

Verizon FIOS if you can get it.  This offers the best combination of performance and price.

Next choice would probably be DirecTV (good prices, ok overall performance).

I never want to go back to giving the cable company my money.  They abused us when they had a monopoly and their prices are still sky high!

Thanks George.
FIOS is not available to me at this time.
The guy at BB said to go with Direct TV too.

I must say I had an excellent buying experience at BB.
