Dave..as I recall Melos Technologies had a speaker in the late 90's called the Pipedream. Same type of speaker as the Nearfields. It was designed by Mark Porzilli, the same guy who designed all the Melos elelctronics. Do you know if the speakers that Nearfield sells were bought from Melos when they went out of business?

mark porzilli designed the photentiometer in the melos preamps; not sure he designed all their gear.  i tink the guy responsible for most of the gear was george bischoff.

nearfield acoustics made, & still makes the pipedreams, i don't think melos ever owned them, tho they did do shows together...

I have very little knowledge of who owns what in the hifi world.  I surely don't know who owns/owned the pipedreams stuff.
