I was considering the Destiny, and Pathos Logos Classic when I was looking for an amp to drive my Martin Logan. After trying a Cary integrated that sounded like a muffled rug I borrowed the Bryston demo unit for a day. After 1 second I knew I couldnt return it !
In this country it costs twice as much as in the USA, so expectations will be high, it competes with a lot of very good amplifiers. I could have bought a used Krell 400XI for less, but didnt try it out.
Anyway, I feel I have a good match with the speakers, the Bryston is extremely open and transparent, you dont get the feeling you are listening to an amplifier at all, you listen to the source.
Another strong point is the absolutely fabulous low level resolution and dynamics. By this I mean when you play at very low volumen. At night I often play music at such low volum that the electrostats turn themselves off, and still my wife asks if I cant turn the sound down a bit....maybe I shouldnt have sold my headphones !
Should I mention one, minor, not so good thing about the Bryston it would be the volumen knop. It is secured with a hex nut and tend to "feel" loose, not a high end feeling.
