Buddy.....Have you heard this......or....this........or......thi s....
I've seen her live a couple of time and she is a "lot of fun".
Joss Stone is coming out with a new release on March 20th, and IMO she's the best of the recent British female singers
While I like Joss Stone, I think she's sometimes hard to listen to. I personally think she overplays her voice, sometimes brandishing vocal gymnastics for no apparent reason.
A couple of years back, I have heard an by Sarah Cracknell. I believe she was the lead singer for Saint Etienne, another British rock outfit. Her album, I believe was called "Lipslide", now that I look at it, it might be about 7-10 years old. Her house sound is rather retro, 1960s-1970s pop rock. Her voice is rather soothing and her melodies are how I say, mellow. I love this album. After her, I believe DIDO hit the scene and everything else about UK female singers just took off. One of these days I will check out the albums that you are soooo infatuated with, Buddy. For now, I got tons of CDs that I need to rediscover, instead of purchasing more albums.
You know you really should be listening to these British singers on British gear, Buddy! Your Franken Rega is now Brit-Thai
