Vinnie,

Beautiful girl! You are not doing too bad holding your girl for the first time -- you have to relax your shoulders and be more natural.   You will get plenty practice and you will be a pro in no time.  If you don't already have one, get a Bjorn.  I went everywhere with that my first year--a baby is a heating unit and it's nice to snuggle her right next you in the winter.

Congrats Vinnie,

 A beautiful blessing from above.

From the photo you will have your hands full in about 16 years, You'll be at the front door with a stick beating off the hounds that will come calling to date beautiful Isabella.

 Warmest regards,
Bill

Congratulations Vinnie. You (two) have a beautiful baby. Enjoy the music that she'll bring in your life. Remember it is live - just work on your room acoustics. You must have noticed that this is a "Self powered" system ;) Cheers!

Vinnie,

I would like to offer you three very important bits of advice. Firstly, spend every moment you can spare with your baby because she will only be so small and dependent for what truly amounts to a blink of an eye. Secondly, make sure you find a good ballgame on tv and fall asleep with her on your stomach allowing someone to photograph you for posterity. Lastly, if you can, scan or photocopy your hand and her hand together. Those all make for very special memories later in life!

I didn't do enough of #1, but 2& 3 were happy accidents...

Don't ever 'come down' from having your baby in your life Vinnie.

Many congratulations to both you and your wife, never lose track of the blessings you have with each other.

Before you know it, you will blink and she will be out the door...

Savor and live the moments!!

Best Regards,
DeadFish

Upon seeing the first photo, this involuntary 'awwww' sound came out and startled me just a bit.
Such a beautiful child, and what a proud papa!
As mentioned, you'll learn to relax that shoulder and look like a pro.
Cherish these moments for they are fleeting: she will grow so fast.

Congratulations, Vinnie!

My 5-year-old daughter says that Isabelle is very cute!

Things get tough from time to time but kids are the best thing that ever happend to me.

(like the "Far Side" cartoon where the guy gets hit by the "old age truck"...  there's a "fatherhood truck", too!)

(I've been away from the forum for a long while. Wow.)

Thanks again, Everyone!

I was "on call" last night and was up at 1:30am, 4am, 6:30am, etc.

Isabella is actually sleeping a lot better now

Jen and I are very blessed and enjoying our new adventures into parenthood!

I need to upload some newer photos... Isabella has grown quite a bit in these last 4 months

Isabella is now 4.5 months old, and is 26" long and a little over 18lbs (she doubled her weight)!

Here are some recent pics:

On the swing at a nearby park:

Staying cool in the pool:

Smilin' for daddy:

She also seems to love listening to music, looking at the TV, an being read to.  Bath time is also a lot of fun and she can really splash that water when she wants to!

I rock her to bed every night and she sleeps through the night... life is so good!  8)

Thanks for looking,

Vinnie
