I have an American style (120V) and it has a 2 amp fuse.

Just want to confirm, it takes a 2amp quick blow?  I am blowing fuses and need to investigate but want to make sure I have the correct fuse first and foremost.

Norh actually got back to me and said it uses a 3a 220v or 6a 110v.  Still not sure if quick blow or slow blow, waiting for a response to that question.

Try slow blow, and if the problem persists, then you have - a problem*.
btw the SE-9 steadily takes only 0.5 amperes @ 230Volts.

* if it blows immediately after switch-on, the there is short in mains transformer (bad) or somewhere else in the heater circuit.

It is blowing a fuse about 5-10 seconds after turningit on. I am hoping it is a bad power tube, I have some on order. I have replaced the rectifier tube but that did not solve the problem.

Then it is probably in the high voltage (B+) circuit. Could be the power tube.
