Any AKSA's in Toronto?

I'm new to DIY, but I am definitely interested in high-quality amplification that can be had at reasonable cost plus some soldering.

I'd love to audition or hear one. Anyone near Toronto?

Hugh, any more thought about the AKSA world map that was mooted at one point?? It would definitely reduce the amount of traffic with questions like the above....

another hairbrained idea from Grumpy!

Nick,

It's not forgotten.  I am working on the map with others at present.  A world location spreadsheet was set up about three weeks ago, though it does not contain specific information on product, but in 80% of cases that means amplifiers.  I'm waiting on the mapping from spreadsheet to world location.......

Cheers,

Hugh

TLP is Aspen's simple preamp.  TLP stands for Tube Line Preamp.  A unity gain stage used to provide tube-style sonics to the amplifier feed.

Hi DrDave
I live in Sydney, Australia. What is the speaker in your logo?
I use full range Diatones (plus an active sub woofer), so am always interested in full range speakers.

It's a Jordan JX92s.  DIY speaker based on Jim Griffin's design but stretched taller.  They live on my desk and serve as computer speakers driven by an AKSA55 amp.  Sources include computer, vinyl, CD player and Modded DIO DAC.

No subwoofer but I'm thinking about building that next.
