Hi Everyone,

i just polished off the CES / THE Show reports and posted new issues of both the Review Magazine and Superior Audio online. The Review Magazine features the McIntosh MS300 music server & C220 preamplifier, Stax SRS-4040II system with SRM-006tII vacuum tube output driver plus revisits of the Axiom Audio Millennia M3Ti loudspeaker, Manley Labs' Steelhead phonostage/preamplifier, and Marchand Electronics' XM-44 active crossover.

Superior Audio presents three mega-dollar reference loudspeakers; Triangle's Magellan Concerto sw2, older Magellans, and Focal.JMlab's Grande Utopia Be, all of which are reviewed by Alvin Gold. gme109, server is fine, though we did shut it down from public for a brief to do server OS security updates. Should work fine now.

Imperial, you are close, it is for a car

It is the clutch alignment schematic measurements for a Ferrari 308 transmission.

I once saw a 330 in Norway, it was in perfect condition... its the 4L v12 you know, the Colombo engine.
The exhaustnote on those... (They sound just like the Sopwith Camel rotary engines in idle...)
There was a copy of Donald duck laying in the back... I'm not kidding man!
Like a duck takes to water just really took on a whole new dimension.

Ah yes, i love the old Ferraris. Frankly, the new models do not make my desires flare like the vintage ones. IMHO Ferrari has lost their path in romance and design, perhaps also an attribute to Pininfarina's modern directions and Computer Aided Design (CAD) versus hand drawn and hand built cars.

FYI: the 308 has many mods, too numerous to mention. She is mainly driven at the track, yet do take her as a daily driver to the beach, stores, dining out, etc. If you want to see videos of me driving during gentleman days (read: not competitive race days), see http://www.enjoythetrack.com/video/

Have pretty much given up on the Ferrari (too slow) for racing and decided to get a Formula Continental (perhaps called F2000 in Europe and has front and rear aero package) for proper racing. Will compete in the 2007 SCCA regional, COMSCC, and perhaps MARRS leagues. It is the Van Diemen 99/01 chassis with Ford 'Pinto' engine, Weber 36 downdraft, etc that produces 150HP/145TQ and in total weights 975 lbs.

Me and my brother has got an older BMW in the works, dont know when "she" will be done.
We're planning to use it on the track only, trackday events and such.
I'm a turbo nut. So "She" will be turbocharged, bad ass style of course.
Perhaps next summer. We'll see.

Nice! BMW has a lot of bolt-on upgrades and well-engineered and tried tweaks. Turbos are indeed fun! My plans are to supercharge the 308 this year once we message the engine a bit. After 45+ track days and a total of 70k miles the engine needs a little attending to (nothing serious, just the usual stuff). Am sure the BMW will be fun and remember to upgrade those brakes and use Motul brake fluid or the like. If i can ever help with ideas/tweaks feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks Rollo, yes the sound is quite nice and have had more modern, faster cars follow me for a lap or two a few times as the drivers love to just sit back and hear the car going through its paces. As you can probably tell from the videos, the 308 is not babied or pampered per se, she is DRIVEN hard. i very much appreciate your concern. Indeed, track driving means LOTS of safety and those were the first tweaks to the 308 (uprated brakes, brake lines, race seats, harness, etc). The FC is built with safety in mind, though of course i wear Carbon-X underware, have a Nomex suit/glove/sox/etc, helmet, and HANS device (two HANS devices actually as the FC needs a model 30 and 308 needs a model 20). Besides, if i 'go' then who will sponsor my brother's kids softball team? (yes, i sponsor my brother's children little league team

).

As for being the only 'down to earth reviewer,' you have me blushing! Am just a guy trying to have fun, enjoy music both as an active musicians and enthusiats... and enjoy the track. For me, life is about so many joys, experiences, and meeting so many awesome people in cyberspace and in person.
