I don't know if there is anyone in columbus, but believe Lou Skimming lives in Cleveland.  A visit with Lou would also provide a huge education in source gear.  I'll try to find Lou's contact info and pm you.

I'm not in NYC but in Montreal so if you find yourself North of the Border you are welcome to come by and have a listen.

The wait is currently @ 3 months.

I have the speakers in my workshop for a checkup.  When this is completed, they will travel to a couple local gents, then to California for a stint.

I think my email to Lou in Cleveland was successful, but I haven't heard back from him yet.

Having now toyed around with some lower cost DIY projects, I am now thinking about tackling the 1801b as my next audio project.    It appears this design is just what I'm looking for.  I was just curious though as to whether there were any folks in the San Francisco Bay Area with a pair of these marvelous speakers that I might trouble to let me audition them?
