Chuck,

Let's agree that you didn't get off to a smooth start here, but I think you will find that we are after the same things.  That is a true as can be imagined recreation of the recording event.

You have gone about it in a way that seems a bit eccentric to many of us.

Many have acheived similar results by using acoustic foam, difusers, or products like 8th Nerve.  These tend to run a bit more to our cultures norms in terms of looks.

I think we should all give Chuck a warmer welcome.

Anyway, Chuck, welcome to audiocircle.  I hope we can use your knowlage and adapt it to more visualy appealing applications.

Sometimes I play underground Spanish reggae rap--real awful, violent, sexually oriented & vulgar.  It's extremely funny, nonetheless.   I *do* play a lot of salsa...

Hey, I can appreciate you like Cap barbells, but that doesn't mean they're an acceptble solution for audio.  Your setup is ugly.  I am the kind of guy that does squats without a belt (6 sets x 15, ascending weights was my thing--coming back after a hiatus) but that has nothing to do with audio.

I don't see how someone can make effective bass traps for $10.  Bass traps need to be heavy by nature of their job.  I purchased my plans from

About the pursuit of ultimate sound, that is not my goal.  My goal is to create "A near field system capable of successfully playing any recording of any musical genre, regardless of recording quality.".  I am happy with what I'm doing and my audio room must be a beautiful space with plants, artwork, beautiful components...a reflection of my personality.

Should I call chuck?  Let's start a poll!!!  :wave:

I think if he's vegetarian and a bodybuilder he must then be using those vegetable sterol products from Ultimate Nutrition and/or Optimum nutrion or similar.  Although legal, they can get you really jumpy and hyper.  I don't use them anymore.  Hmmm, perhaps he's using *massive* doses of free form L-Arginine before working out and going to sleep--Are you Chuckie? :?

Better yet,why call,go for a visit. :D AudioCircle is read by people all around the world! 8) There must be some audiophiles that live in Florida,perhaps even in Chuck's neighborhood.They could give us a first hand review of what magic he has performed on his system!And being a former teacher and pro-musician he can convey his methods of sound reproduction to them. actually the word is "kindergarten"--spelling, literacy and grammar must not have been emphasized much in your "doctorate" program. Your prose strikes me as that of a person for whom English is a second language: inexcusable for someone who supposedly taught.
