It's a tight knit Chenille, kind of like a very fine corduroy in a way, my wife found it and has been pretty much in charge of fit and finish on them....

They look terrific :thumb:. Have they made any measurable difference? Sonic difference?

I've added several panels by ATS Acoustics. Nothing measurable (REW), but the soundstage seems broader and taller. In my case I have limited options...windows along one wall, fireplace on the other, and of course no free corners...K-horns.

Both measurement and sonically we were able to smooth out the room decently, and the decay measurements were dramatically improved.  Quiet without being dead, pretty cool stuff.  We're halfway done finishing them....I puts some pics in my gallery.....http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?action=gallery

I really like the looks of them . In fact I have an idea where to put 4 of the skinny ones in my room :duh:.

How exactly did you make them? Any hints, tricks, tips?

A bunch of tips and tricks, you may want to run by and look at them Ron, probably easier to show you how to do one than type it all out....

Now ask him what stunning example of "audio support" Kathy is going demonstrate when Art goes out of town next week!

If anyone ever comes up with an award for "most supportive wife to a crazy audiophile", Kathy will have earned it several times over!

Okay, I'll brag on my wife for a second because she is remarkably supportive and participative in my hobby....There's an 8' opening on one side of my room that leads to my work area and the stairs....we are having that drywalled this week with a pocket door put in and a soffet to eliminate the corner at the ceiling down that side of the room.  It turns out I am going to the superbowl next weekend so Kathy is going to paint my entire room while I am gone, and yes she made all the arrangements with the contractor to enclose the room and will supervise them this week.....she actually asks me on a regular basis when the guys are coming over for a listening session, that's the weirdest one...she is a terrific wife in all respects, but even freaks me out a little with how supportive she is about audio....but there are prices I pay gentlemen, there are prices I pay... :D

Dude, I just checked out your bass traps in your gallery set up in your room. Stellar! Great job!

Are you guys going to measure the room and play around with placement?

How do you feel about the sound of the room now that you've added them?

Cheers
