Introducing CRL's audio cables

In our Audio Gear Shop, we have a simple policy: We carry only a select line of products that Hajime Sato, the owner and proprietor of Eastwind Import, likes. He must be intimately familiar with the product in question, he must absolutely love it, and be willing to recommend it to his closest friends. Products offered by Cable Research Lab (CRL) meet this criterion beautifully.

Gianni Basso, who sadly passed away on August 17, 2009 at age 78, was a legendary Italian tenor saxophonist. Videoarts Music 25th Anniversary Reissue Series!
To celebrate its 25th anniversay, Japan's Videoarts Music label re-released its hit jazz CDs as an attractively priced, limited edition "Hear The Music" series.

Manhattan Jazz Orchestra was created by pianist/arranger David Matthews and an accomplished Japanese producer Shigeyuki Kawashima (both GRAMMY winners) in 1989. Based in New York, it is one of the premier big bands in the US. Matthews is a wildly creative arranger, and boldly and vividly re-imagines well-known jazz standards and other materials. The technically astonishing super-band includes star players like Lew Soloff, Ryan Kisor, Jim Pugh and Chris Hunter.

Super Trombone is a four-trombone group formed by Jim Pugh in New York in 1995. Always supported by top-notch rhythm sections, the trombonists over the years included Dave Bargeron, Ray Anderson, Conrad Herwig and David Taylor. Your chance to preorder the first-ever SHM-SACDs!

Universal Japan is releasing 20 titles of the world's first SHM-SACDs in Japan on June 23, 2010. SHM-SACDs stand for Super High Material Super-Audio CDs. They are single-layer, stereo-only SACDs pressed on special SHM discs utilizing high-quality polycarbonate material originally developed for LCD panels. Please note: They are NOT hybrid SACDs. They do NOT contain any multi-channel tracks. They require a special SACD player, and will NOT play on regular CD players.

This series of limited-edition SHM-SACDs is based on the most recent DSD masters available to Universal Japan (in most cases ranging from 2002 to 2008), and in some cases (titles with "*" after the catalog number), brand-new 2010 DSD masters were  created from analog master tapes.

Based on our experience, this limited-edition series will quickly sell out. Once they are out of print, they are either gone or will be available only at steep premium prices. So, Eastwind Import has decided to offer our valued customers a chance to secure their copies by pre-ordering. Please note that, due to their high prices, Eastwind Import will not stock them, except for a few copies each of the five jazz titles.
