$399 to add phono after the fact. 

The mother board has to be removed and reinstalled to do it, a lot more labor time than if the option is ordered in the first place, so the cost is $100 more.

doesnt seemeal good deal. brand new one in the larger chawith phono is only 1400 bucks. this one is 1200 bucks in the smaller obsolete chassis which may limit future upgrades because of lack of space. i do like the looks of the silver though. i have an upgrade super pas and have been looking at the trandscence eight. thanks
