Your right Mike....well worth the cost.
In fact....if your just running cd's,and wish to add that jitter circuit...what is it....1,000 euro's (DAC+Jitter)....thats not bad for a very good DAC.
I had no problem with "the look"....performance is what counts. :thumb:

With the weak dollar, I think the fully equipped version you had was $1,700 delivered.  Reducing the options cuts the cost somewhat.  Some will still say "too much scratch".  That's understandable, but my opinion is this DAC is an off-the-merrygoround piece (for those that want such a thing).

Well, the TOUR IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!  It was fun to do, fun to read about, and now it's over and home to poppa.  Thanks very much to all participants and those indirectly involved by reading about its progress.  All the folks that had the piece made commendable efforts to host get-togethers and expose this DAC to as many people as possible.

I've just received the DAC from the last stop (I think there were 9 ultimately) and I am amazed at how perfectly intact everything is.  I didn't expect overt damage but I guess I thought there would be some signs of handling and general wear-and-tear.  Nope, none of the above.  It looks as clean and perfect as when it left.  Nice work, fellas.

I will be putting a few miles on the DAC (along with others, I have 4 in-house right now  :o) then assembling a post mortem report.  In the meantime, this was great for me and I'm glad to have done it.

Thanks all, smell ya later!   :green:
