Hi guys,
I have opened up 2 pairs of speakers to see what the crossovers looked like and if possible upgrade especially the capacitors. The speakers in questions are the Dynaudio Audience 82 in my main system and Pioneer HPM-900 I acquired recently as fixer-uppers.
I have found some caps in my Dynaudios that I am not sure I've identified correctly.
There are 2 big yellow caps marked:
Bennic, BO3, 82mfd, 100WV
My interpretation is that this is a 82milliFarad, 100V cap. This sounds like a rather big value. Can this be right?
There are several blue boxy caps marked:
6v8k, 100V, 373 MKT BC
1v5k, 250V, 373 MKT BC
I am not sure how to read the values for these caps.
I have been thinking of using the Claritycaps DIYcable sells for upgrades but if I can't find the right values, no sense in trying to change.
Can anyone help me make sense of these caps?
Groeten,
Ferdi
