Oh. In that case perhaps stuffing the port will tell you if that's the problem.
I have mine heavily stuffed and tuned quite low to get an "EBS" type of response

Actually I just swapped in the 871s for the 881s I had in these boxes before

I assume they were a significant improvement over the 881's? Are the cabinets sealed or vented? In my experience 'EBS' assumes a vented enclosure but I also assume you're just pulling our legs too!

The port is built into the back of the cabinet, and exits right at floor oops I mean desk level
3.5L tuned to 62 Hz, not really an EBS but it kinda looks like one - ? Anyway it works
