Does Van Alstine make monoblocks or are all his amps single chasis stereo amps?

The answer is basically NO.

However, all their Stereo amps (as well as most any other stereo amp)
can be run in bridged MONO with the help of their very nice Phase inverter.
This is a very clever & worhtwhile thng to do.  Much better than using 2 Amps
in a passive bi-amp mode.

Ultra Phase inverter is terrific.  Using 2 of em making 4 mono amps, sonic bliss, blisful POWER.  about 4800 total RMS.  there is no such thing as too much power.  It's like a car that has 420 HP (Audi RS4) it don't mean ya use it all the time, but when you do, it's GREAT!!!!!!

On question CE, what in the world are you doing with all the OmegaStar 500EX amplifiers we have built for you.  Last count we have built 14 of them for you  :o

Not wanting to upset sales, but my god the electric bill!

 :D :) Some are spare backups, but I ain't never had a AVA unit fail yet.  And I may add another system  set up elsewhere.  You know if one is good, 2 are GREAT 4 are INCREDIBLE,6 are STUPENDOUS,8 are ..... and on and on and on.  Some extrodinary speakers I am drooling over take 4 amps per side, one of these days. Maybe  Guniess Book of world's records might vist next.  for the most amount of VanAlstines installed?  Besides stock old hafler ckts, just don't cut it. As great as they where 30 years ago  They are lifeless, dry, edgey. compared to the modern fast ckts of VanAlstine..  But they sure had a great powerful AC  transformer and basic harware design setups to work on for sure.  I also wanna use em for some live band stuff eventually.
