Hi all,

What speaker stands do you recommend for the Marble 9 speakers ?
Sonic performance is what I am looking for.
Many thanks.

Once upon a time I had a pair.
I bought them used from Kishore and he threw in a pair of sand filled Target stands that worked well.  Kishore had made four small indentions on the top of each stand that matched up with the feet of the 9's .  This keeps them from sliding off.

Note:
Although these stands served me very well, if I had children I would probably consider something with a bigger surface area for the 9's to sit on.  If someone were to bump into one of your 9's on this stand it could easily wind up on the floor.

Best of luck with your search.
Jeff

Even more stable but more bulky are stands made from cinder blocks.  :D Of course you have to cover them with exotic cloth from Thailand.

Enhancing sonic performance via stands may not be nearly as much of an issue with these - remember they are solid marble 2" thick with the baffle 1/2" thick, not a lot of vibration issues anyway.

To me, the first thing to do is figure out where they should go, and how high off the floor you want them, and at what angles on the X and Y axes. Then you can decide what the best stands are for your needs. You want to give them a foot or two clearance from the wall.

A few years back I was experimenting....

Oris, I use these:

I have small children and have never had an issue with my kids knocking the speakers off.  I have considered putting a small amount of tack or putty around the feet of the 9's to secure them, but haven't done it yet.

Maxcast - great stand - I like the amps under the speaker. Bet you can't wait to get another speaker and amp! Then you can really enjoy the stereo effect!

I use these stands

for my synthetic marble 6.1s.  They are extremely sturdy and heavy metal stands, plus you can fill them with sand or lead shot for even more rigidity if desired.  AND, they were only $97.00 a pair, delivered!  They look nice too...
