It looks like the owner of this home has other priorities, but this set up of a pair $135k Wilson Alexandria X-2s is enough to make an audio geek cringe.http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?spkrfull&1163148954

And he has money. Did you notice the $100k Audio Note Kondo amp. The reflections from that room must be horrible.

Are those cinderblocks?  If not, if they're some kind of treatment or wallcovering, what kind of design sense would one have to make the wall look like cinderblocks?

What's that hanging from the ceiling?

People drink cans of soda through straws?

In China at least, not sure about Hong Kong, the soda cans have the old-school tabs that you peel off.  The opening is then quite small and annoying to drink from; therefore, a straw is quite an important accessory to soda consumption   :green:.

jon_010101, thanks for opening my eyes to how things work in other countries!    :D  With most of the media here originating from the States, and only having a couple weeks a year to travel, it can be hard to get a sense of stuff like this.

Obviously this person is not an audiophile but still wanted "the best".  A dealer's dream come true.

You people must have overlooked that for critical listening, the owner simply opens the sliding glass door and eliminates the first reflection point.  The reflective table top is covered with soda cans with the appropriate size straws for a diffractive effect

That thing hanging down from the ceiling is the other rear speaker.
