After a year or so of trying to find out more information about this DIY speaker utilizing all Scan Speak drivers, I was lucky enough to finally find a cabinet maker who was willing to build the cabinets for me, at an affordable price.  So, now I am on the last stages of this project.  The XO has been assembled, all the drivers are awaiting the install and well, the cabinet is ready for painting this weekend.

I don't know why no one in the US has built these, perhaps I am crazy for building a speaker that I've never heard of...don't know, but what's life without risks...right?

Looks like quite an effort.  I can only imagine how long it would take me to finish such a cabinet.  What kind of finish is that?  Truck bed liner type?

I can certainly understand why you wouldn't want to veneer those cabinets - the angles make my head hurt 

What drivers are you using? What kind of crossover? and crossover components (I hope you've got nice caps after all this effort)?

Bob, the woofer will be driven by a SS 21W8555-00, the mid the famous 18W8545K and the tweeter will be the 9700 SS tweeter.  The cabinet builder was going to veneer them, but I wanted something customized to go with my loft, therefore, i went with the Hammerite finish and red/black combo. 

Crossover components are Goertz 12awg conductors, caps are just Solen for now, will updgrade when I find out the final tweaking...and resistors are your mills resistors...internal wiring are cardas 11.5, 13.5 and 15.5awg, chasis wires...

Amps will be the consonance cyber 800 with the cyber 222 preamp.  Source are the Marantz SA8260, VPI scout w/ JMW-9 and Shelter 501 MKII and diva audio phono stage.

Josh, the finish is Hammerite Rush Proof Paint...
You know, can't be too careful with MDF, may rust one day. 
I live in a loft and behind my Sony DPL is a red absorber and I have red ottomans.
I'll post a pic when it's all done.
What do you think of the color scheme...a bit risky, but I think it turned out ok.

They will arrive next Friday the 22nd and installation will begin!!!
