I made a web page to help RIPPERs get the most out of their machine.  It walks you through testing and operation of its features.  Then how to install and setup Audacity for recording LPs to disk.  Finally, it shows how to download and install Foobar2000 and ASIO4ALL and get them to work together.  All of the playback stuff applies to the HAGUSB, too.  Just replace "USB Audio CODEC" with "USB Audio Device".

In fact, you can run both at same time.  I've recorded to a RIPPER while monitoring on a CHIME (HAGUSB).

Thanks for being a detail guy.  This will be most helpful to me when my Ripper is finished.  I did order that 12V tranny, rather than wait 4 months.....tested my house AC at 119V.  Although I have no idea how much fluctuation there is in an average home.  My great buddy is an EE and I will ask him.  He has told me great stories about bringing transformers on-line for Florida Power.

I got a Monster Power conditioner with a VU meter whcih reads close to what my multimeter sees for house voltage.  For fun, I started watching the voltage and was suprised how much it changes.  I live in No. CA (bay area).  My normal voltage in the early evening is 121 - 122v.  I've seen it move between 115v and 123 or 124v depending on the day and time of day.  Late evening / early morning (like 2AM), I've seen it to 115v.  I have no idea why it would drop unless there was some power plant maintenance.  During the heat wave it touched 109v.  So in my case, I would assume my norm was 122v and the nominal range would be 115 - 125.   Of course, PG&E sometimes delivers "0"v but then you can't play the stereo anyway.
