Released in 1965, Rubber Soul is an album primarily of love songs. However, the new found maturity, thoughtfulness, complexity in the lyrics blended with intricate folk-rock arrangements reflected a new found growth in the band in terms of musicianship. Also noticable is the beginning of seperate songwriting indentities from Lennon and McCartney.
