pondering about change!!!!!

pondering about change!!!!!

hello,
i have a set of 3 way technic floor speakers that are shot and i was wondering wether itd b smarter to replace just the speakers or cabinat and alll?????

Replace the whole speaker.  Post your budget and you'll get some rec's.

looking for medium quality so probably $200 for a set would be about wat id pay.

Medium is such a relative term.  For $200 a pair, you probably have to look at a used pair of monitors for "respectable"  sound quality.  You can also DIY your own from kits.  Technic cabinets probably are not worth the bother to work with.

For a book shelf try AV123's X-LS  200 plus shipping.
They will be making a floorstander of same for $300 +shipping.

Agree with Max, av123 xl-s are very nice speakers for $200.  Imagine about the best you can do for $200 new?

Other than that, as Woodsyi suggested, look for used.

Pretty good advice from the guys!  :)
