My impression of the Acoustic Dreams Dead Balls are that they offer increased bass articulation, inner resolution and detail retrieval as well as quieter operation. They exceed my Sand Box as well as other isolation devices I have tried which include the following: Gingko Balls, various brass spiked feet, vibrapods, sorbathane feet, and maple platforms. I will be comparing the Acoustic Dream Dead Balls to the Adona Platforms in a week or so.

So gar my best combo is Sistrum platforms on top of Adona stands. YMMV.

I put large styrofoam "pucks" under my equipment.  Maybe you can see them in the picture.

Carl,
What's the approximate size of the unhappy balls?
Thx, John /TCG

1 inch... They're the same size as the bouncy balls you buy in a gumball machine for a dime or quarter.  It's so weird to drop one from a few feet, it just drops and stops.  NO bounce AT ALL, it's like dropping a magnet on an iron block.  At 5-7 feet, they have maybe a .5" bounce.  I'll try them at 15' soon. ;)  If you drop a bouncy ball (which I have tons) next to the 'unhappy' ball, it's so weird.... because they're both seemingly the same and one goes nuts while the other just stops.

Fun stuff, great conversation piece... So, entertainment and isolation in one product... it's a win-win! ;)

Anyone have any idea on how much weight can be supported by the unhappy balls?
