Sometimes in life you should take risks due to the reward that may follow. It's not always good but as once was said by Helen Keller: "Life without risk would be like no life at all".

That's why I like the McIntosh gear.  I am taking a risk that I might lose a couple bucks if I hate it instead of thousands.  And if I like it for 20 years, I'll make a handsome profit when I upgrade.

Keep punishing those McIntosh transistors there Hantra, I gather there is no risk in doing that? :)

Meanwhile as almost all of our readers agree, the Fet Valve amplifiers will just keep on doing their job, reproducing music, with no punishment needed. Since the cost is much lower than McIntosh prices, and there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, its hard to see where the risk with AVA equipment equipment is, unless of course you risk embarresment when you find out your high priced pet piece doesn't stand up in comparison.
