HagClock Questions

I have a Samsung HD841 CD player and I am going to upgrade my player's clock with your HagClock later. My questions are your HagClock
will work with my cd player that with a 27Mhz xtal in it?

There are a number of HagClocks running at 27MHz, so it can be done.  That said, I have had two examples that never started oscillating.  Not sure why, but perhaps the frequency is towards the end of the range for the Colpitts section.  One of them could have been a bad xtal, because once I replaced it she worked fine.

If I'm going to order parts to build your HagClock what xtal I need to order? Use the 27Mhz xtal remove from my Samsung HD841 or order a cylinder type 27Mhz xtal from digikey or just stick with what you said at your HagClock manual 11.2896Mhz or 16.9344Mhz.

What if my player use a xtal rather then 27mhz? The player still able to play SACD, DVD-A and red book CD?

   Thanks in advance

Use a 27M xtal.  Can be the one removed.  Yes, you can still play videos and SACD.
