The thing that stuck out to me was that if you think that clean records are an obsession w/ a conventional cart, this thing is rendered unlistenable by dirty records.  Black vinyl only, it doesn't work w/ other colors. You can adjust the height it reads the groove and if one  area is worn badly  you can still get a nice clean signal from another height.  The price continues to climb.  
For 15 large it ought to make coffee too.
