I am the Saint Louis dealer for NuForce products, and I have the Reference 9 amplifiers on demo with the Gallo Reference 3.1 spealers. I also have the Parasound JC1 monoblocks and the Pass Labs X250.5 as demo amps for comparison.

From 1980 till 2003 The Speaker and Stereo Store was a retail storefront in Saint Louis Missouri. Now it is a home-based appointment-only business focusing on higher end products. My website is

I demonstrate all models of the Gallo Acoustics speakers, including the Reference 3.1. For demo amplifiers I have the Pass Labs X250.5, Parasound HALO JC-1, and NuForce Ref 9 amps.
I am authorized for Gallo Acoustics, NuForce, Parasound (including HALO), Sunfire, Phase Technology, B&K Components, Richard Gray Power Company, ExactPower, IXOS, Apature, Grado Labs, Legacy Loudspeakers, and NAD.
Most manufacturers specify a sales area within an hour's drive from Saint Louis, but this can vary, depending on the dealer network for each brand. Because the Midwest is sparsely populated with high-end stores some manufacturers have referred customers to me who were calling from as far as Iowa and Kentucky. I also do a lot of loudspeaker service. I refoam and recone woofers, replace defective woofers, midranges, and tweeters with new ones, build crossovers, rebuild speakers for improved performance, and build speakers from scratch.

p.s. - If the word “Store” in the name seems odd – the business was incorporated under that name and since it built a good reputation over 23 years it seemed best to keep the name even after giving up the brick and mortar.
