I need to chime in on one more thing - - - noise.

I nned to point out that the thermal noise in the quietest components or electronic parts is way way way way way more than in your cables.  Hey you can actually hear the noise from your components with your ear against the speaker even in the best cases.

I wonder if buying beebees to get rid of some kind of undefined and unmeasurable noise is not like polishing the rails on the Titanic.

Frank I have said for a long time the audible differences between cables, if they exist, are very small - exactly as the article I posted written by an engineer that has extensivly investigated them concluded.  Indeed I would tend to upgrade other things long before I went for uber expensive cables (which I would never buy anyway - with that type of money I could get a DEQX which is audible - for example $6000.00 for speaker cables is laughable.).  And those in the 'know' about bybees say you get the biggest bang for your buck from them in modifying equipment.

However this was a post about interconnects so I mentioned them in that context - not becuase I bleieve that is their biggest bang for the buck use (and they are expensive). I do however believe that based on reports the difference they make is greater than other even more expensive possible snake oil in cables.

If I ever get around to actually building my proposed interconnects I will be happy to send them to you after mucking around with them to see if they pass your published cable challenge.

Thanks
Bill

Wow...

I think I'll just skip the interconnects and imagine how good the music must be.
