it is obvious those caps are in wrong and possibly the regulators ... i needed a break from it so i farmed the work out to an inmates at the audio asylum for a set of Mullards.

I am not abandoning the Hagerman Bugle. I have actually learned SOMETHING from all the mistalkes and will be able to tackle installing the SUTs with more confidence.

i got some help form an Vinyl Asylum inmate and the Bugle pro is whipping ass.

Damn, the Bugle pro is nice. It is suceptible to hum if you place it above and amp. I started out with no hum but moved it and it gets a slight rise in hum with volume when over the amps transformer. no biggie, I will just readjust the equipment on the shelf.

This thing is smooth. Has organic oomph, IYKWIM, and detail. It is much fuller sounding than my previous 540p. What it does which is much nicer is that it plays all instruments but not at the expense of each other. What I mean is that a horn will come in but you don't lose the detail on the base or snare; All the detail is kept present and full.

The guy who helped me, Dan Donovan, shieled the input wires, but I think moving this to an aluminum case might be worthwhile. I added aluminum foil to the inside sperating the switches from the power supply side. It had a positive effect as well.
