Wayne is one of the good guys in this industry...

I currently own a Bolder Cable modified Panasonic SA-XR45 featuring all of the available mods.  I love this thing.  About two months ago, it started having problems locking onto digital signals coming in through the digital coaxial input.  Long story short, I contacted Wayne for advice, he replied quickly and politely, his initial suggestions didn't work, I sent him the unit, he fixed it promptly, and now I have a "good-as-new" digital amplifier back in my system.  The best part about this is that he didn't bill me for his time.

So, in response, I'd like to purchase one of Wayne's digital coaxial cables.  My setup is "humble," so I probably don't need his top-of-the-line cable.  I run an Underwood Hi-Fi modified Denon DVD-1920 univeral player using the digital coaxial output to the Panny using a Signal Cable Silver Resolution cable (this will be replaced by Wayne's cable).

Any suggestions?

What were you looking to spend?

I've owned or heard nearly every version of a digital coax that Wayne's built. And I currently have 3 different Bolder digitals (one has silver Bullet plugs & Cryo, one has silver NextGen's & Cryo, and one is the Cryo'd Napalm Ultra).

The ICE digital would be the best price/performance cable you can get from him at the moment. The Ultra "bubba" ICE is extremely good. Yet you already mentioned that it's a little more $ than you're looking to spend.

As I recall Wayne saying that a Bybee in the digital signal of the modded Panny makes a rather noticeable improvement I'd certainly get one in the signal if you don't already have one in the Panny. Which is why I figure that you'd be best off with the regular ICE digital.

Don't get me wrong, his regular digital w/WBT NextGen plugs is great. But adding a Bybee to the cable helps out a great deal. At the very least I'd get the NextGen RCA's on the cable if you didn't want to go for the ICE. But the ICE is the way to go...

The ICE cable with Bybees looks very promising.  I may have my cable!
