I just got a pair of bi-wirable speakers and need some jumpers.

I used a solid piece of copper wire that came with the last pair of speakers I had. I thought it worked fine...thing is I don't know where to get thicker, single strand wire (I have some radioshack multi-strand, didn't try a hardware store yet). I also don't know if that's the best fix. Thanks for any opinions.

I've used 12ga Romex for jumpers before on someone's B&W Nautilus 802's and they were pleased with the results. The speaker cables used were Nordost Valhallas. The jumpers were only there until the Bi-Wire Valhallas came. Gotta say that I was kinda surprised at how good the Romex jumpers sounded...

I use Canare 4S11 starquad cable on my Von Schweikert VR4 Gen III. $.69/foot from Markertek.com (no minimum). You can use it bare wire, or add terminations of your choice depending on how much you want to spend.

The $0.69 stuff is about the price I was thinking of. My system has changed since the last time I bi-wired, but I couldn't hear the difference between pricey jumpers and the single strand copper wire.

Me neither.

BTW, Von Schweikert recommends connecting the primary speaker cabling to the midrange/tweeter and running the jumpers to the bass module. Don't know how that would affect your speakers, but the concept makes sense to me.
