how much do you really need to spend to get the max out of a 15k $ system.also,if you had the choice of running shotgun or two sets of cables, which is better?? everyone knows speaker cables and inter-connects are important, but the old law of diminished returns and 800% mark up applies here.help thks much :D  :D  :o  :D  :D

I'm not an expert, but one thing for sure I would not assume is bi-wiring is best.  Some speakers it's great on, and some it's not.  I've owned 4 different pairs of pretty decent speakers, and it's been a split.  If you're bi-amping of course, disregard that.  How much did you have for a budget for IC's and SC's?

budget for cables is not large, but you get what you pay for--i think????the speakers and amp will take two sets of cables, or  you can run simple shotgun?? is there a better way between the two?? it's hard to buy cables when you don't even know which way will sound better.? :D  :D  :D  :D

i think i am going to try a set of VSA jr's only because for the 3k+- on the used market, what can match these.i think driven by the VAC30/30 sig they should sound allright....i hope the sound is warmer than my old b&w 802 matrix s3
So....so far how do they compare ?[/list:u]

the new gear is way easier to listen to.i must say that Bryston is money well spent.i was told the SST's sound way better.the old 802's were ok,kinda bright on top.i have room treatment to go yet also.i have to say for the money on the used market, the latest vr4 is money well spent.they are very smooth and well balanced.i think there is still more in them with better cables and set-up.i do not have spikes on them yet as they never came with them from previous owner.between new gear and a couple of Gibson guitars, the bank is runnin' out of cash to give me.i need to cable-up smartly?? :D  :D  :o  :D  :D
